Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), has led a delegation to participate in the African Refiners and Distributors Association (ARDA) Week 2025, held in Cape Town, South Africa.

The discussions focused on enhancing regional cooperation, improving regulatory frameworks, and ensuring energy security.

Noteworthy topics included Africa’s substantial hydrocarbon reserves, which amount to 119.8 billion barrels of crude oil and 632 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.

Energy Bank
Additionally, the event marked the launch of the Africa Energy Bank, a collaborative initiative by the African Petroleum Producers Organization (APPO) and Afreximbank, designed to finance energy projects across the entire value chain.

Partnership
ARDA Week 2025 emphasized the importance of strong partnerships, innovative financing, and forward-thinking policies as essential components for Africa’s energy future. Speakers at the event urged stakeholders to work together to create a resilient and integrated energy ecosystem.
