The Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh popularly known as Napo has encouraged voters to focus on the skills of candidates rather than their religious backgrounds or other factors when voting in the upcoming elections.

He stressed that Ghana needs a strong leader to promote progress and development in the country.
Napo noted that the current political situation demands leadership based on expertise and capability.

He urged Ghanaians to look past religious affiliations and consider the qualifications and experience of those running for president.

During an event in Afrancho as part of his campaign in the Ashanti Region, Napo stated that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a committed Muslim, is the most qualified candidate to lead the nation at this important time.

He praised Dr. Bawumia’s credentials and experience, claiming these traits make him the best choice for president.

He emphasized that Ghanaians share a common future, regardless of their different backgrounds.

He called on voters to unite and understand the significance of choosing a leader with the knowledge and capability to govern effectively.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh urged voters to make thoughtful choices in the upcoming elections, asking them to assess candidates based on their abilities and vision for the country.

He believes that this approach will help Ghanaians elect a leader who can steer the nation toward a better future. “In choosing the next president of our beloved country, I urge you to vote for the person who can maintain the progress made in the last eight years. Chiefs are neither Muslims nor pastors, but they allow churches and mosques to be built on their lands, showcasing the beauty of being Ghanaian,” he stated.

“We respect one another because what unites us as Ghanaians is stronger than our differences.”
