The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has taken the opportunity to underscore the significant achievements of the NPP government during his recent visit to the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Constituency.

In his address to local chiefs and community members, he articulated the party’s commitment to improving the quality of life for Ghanaians through a series of impactful policies and initiatives.

One of the cornerstone achievements he highlighted is the implementation of the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme, which has made secondary education accessible to countless students across the nation.

This initiative not only alleviates the financial burden on families but also ensures that more young people have the opportunity to pursue their education without the hindrance of school fees.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized that this policy is part of a broader educational reform that includes the provision of free technical and vocational education, aimed at equipping the youth with essential skills for the job market.

In addition to educational reforms, Dr. Bawumia pointed out the reinstatement of allowances for teachers and nursing trainees, which he described as a crucial step in recognizing and supporting the vital roles these professionals play in society.

By ensuring that these allowances are reinstated, the NPP government aims to motivate and retain skilled educators and healthcare workers, ultimately enhancing the quality of education and healthcare services in the country.

Dr. Bawumia also addressed the improvements made to the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), highlighting the inclusion of critical health services such as childhood cancer treatment, care for sickle cell patients, and kidney dialysis.

This expansion of the NHIS demonstrates the government’s commitment to ensuring that all Ghanaians have access to essential healthcare services, particularly for vulnerable populations who may otherwise struggle to afford necessary treatments.

Furthermore, he noted the government’s success in avoiding fuel shortages, which has been a significant concern for many Ghanaians. By effectively managing the energy sector, the NPP government has worked to ensure a stable supply of fuel, thereby supporting economic activities and enhancing the overall quality of life for citizens.

Throughout his speech, Dr. Bawumia reiterated the NPP’s dedication to addressing key issues in healthcare, education, and energy, framing these accomplishments as evidence of the party’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians.

He called on the community to recognize these successes and to continue supporting the NPP in its efforts to foster development and progress across the nation.
