The Omanhene of Goaso in the Ahafo Region, Nana Akwasi Bosomprah, has died under circumstances that have led many residents in the region to raise questions about his association with former President John Mahama.
Indeed, the death of the Omanhene, who was a close pal of the NDC presidential candidate and a self-confessed NDC member, has sent tongues wagging and caused apprehension in the Ahafo Region.
Stories making the rounds in the area indicate that on Tuesday, December 3, the 58-year-old paramount chief decided to consult some deities about the chances of John Mahama in Saturday’s elections.
Collapse
In the course of the consultation, a fetish priest told him that John Mahama would lose the election.
Apparently shocked by the pronouncement by the fetish priest, the Omanhene immediately collapsed.
He was rushed to a hospital where he died.
Dirty deals
Following the demise of Nana Bosomprah, a group known as Concerned Ahafo Youth has accused the late Omanhene, for being behind many of the dirty and criminal activities perpetrated by thugs and hooligans associated with the NDC, including the notorious Goaso-based ‘Salifu 11’.
According to the Concerned Ahafo Youth, the late Goasohene was being used by John Mahama to carry out evil plans towards the elections.
The Omanhene was said to have received big cash from the NDC to undertake his nefarious activities.
Influencing chiefs
Nana Bosomprah was also being used by John Mahama to influence some other chiefs in the Ahafo and Bono areas to support the Mahama agenda for president.
Credible information indicates that, following his death, fear has gripped other chiefs who agreed to work with him on the John Mahama diabolic agenda.
Meanwhile, the money John Mahama sent to the late Goasohene appears to have gone down the drain.
