Adamus Revocation: Concerned Citizens to Expose Big People Behind Carefully Crafted Takeover Agenda

A group of concerned Ghanaians has issued a stark warning, vowing to soon expose the “big people” behind what they describe as a carefully orchestrated plot to take over Adamus Resources Limited.

They insisted that the revocation of the company’s mining leases is nothing but a smokescreen for a foreign-backed acquisition.

The group’s spokesperson fired the warning shots even as the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, upheld the cancellation of Adamus’s Akango, Salman, and Nkroful leases.

The Minister cited the company’s failure to fully and promptly fulfil its royalty, tax and other financial liabilities to the state.

But the citizens’ coalition rejected that explanation outright. “This revocation is a mere smokescreen over the calculated agenda to take over the mines,” the spokesperson declared.

They added: “It is a calculated attempt to disgrace Adamus and its owners in order to seize the operations. The Minerals Commission and the Ministry are working in close collaboration on this takeover.”

The group pivoted to the heart of their accusation, questioning the timing and motive of the government’s actions. “Whose responsibility was it to ensure that the company promptly fulfilled its royalty, tax, and other financial liabilities? If there was a debt, why was it not recovered earlier through normal channels?” they asked, demanding to know why the Minister granted interviews on the revocation instead of pursuing routine recovery procedures.

Most pointedly, the coalition raised the spectre of foreign interests. “This is a Ghanaian company. Why do you want to take over and give it to foreigners?” the spokesperson queried, insisting that the government has already shown its hand by denying any Chinese involvement, a denial they say only confirms their suspicions.

The group vowed not to relent. “We will expose all the big people behind this carefully crafted agenda for takeover. Ghanaians must see the faces of those who are selling our own to outsiders,” they pledged, calling on the public to reject the decision and await the full facts they promise to unveil.

Adamus Resources has already described the revocation as unlawful and an abuse of power, and has signalled its intention to challenge the decision in court.

Watch out for more revelations.
