A group of National Democratic Congress (NDC) taskforce members in the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, assembled at the party’s regional office, seeking job placements as a reward for their contributions to the party’s success in the 2024 general elections.

Seidu Isshaku, the Ashanti Regional NDC Taskforce Coordinator, said they were promised job placements and, as such, will not back down until their demands are met and the promises fulfilled.

“We have been neglected after Mr. Mahama promised to offer us jobs. He informed us not to leave the voting centers until he was declared the winner.

“We heeded this advice, we worked diligently on the voting day and he was announced the winner, but he has failed to fulfil his promise to us. Nobody has recognised our efforts, we haven’t heard anything from the presidency.

“People who are not part of NDC have been appointed to juicy agencies, and we have been left out. We want our share of the appointments.
