Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh continued his campaign in the Ashanti Region with visits to communities in the Atwima Nwabiagya South, Atwima Mponua and Atwima Nwabiagya North constituencies on Tuesday, August 27.

There was massive response from the chiefs and people as the NPP running mate, affectionately called Napo, made a case for why the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the parliamentary candidates should be voted for in the elections.

Partnership for development
At a durbar of the chiefs and people at Nkawie in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, Napo recollected historically, the traditional authority’s involvement in the UP tradition and their respect for the tradition.

He said it is for that reason that the present day NPP is committed to a new partnership for development with them, as strongly espoused by Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Paternal hometown
In his paternal hometown of Darbaa in Atwima Nwabiagya North, Napo was honoured with a warm and enthusiastic welcome.

He was elated to see the community’s strong confidence in Dr Bawumia and NPP parliamentary candidate, Frank Yeboah, reflecting the NPP’s proven track record in government.

Message
He urged the people to buy into the good message of Dr Bawumia as it holds good for the future of the country. “The resounding response that has met my campaign is a signal of the resonating message of our flagbearer,“ he said.

Building on success
In Mpasatia and its connecting areas in Atwima Mponua, Napo made a strong case that Dr Bawumia’s presidency will build upon the successes chalked by the current administration.

In that context, he urged the people to continue to place their trust in the flagbearer and the NPP parliamentary candidate.

Performance
Through Nyinahin and adjoining communities in the Atwima Mponua constituency, the running mate reminded gatherings of opinion leaders, christian and Islamic clergy as well as the youth of the NPP’s performance in education, energy, health, infrastructure, among others.

This, he reckon, is a testament that, Dr Bawumia’s presidency will further deepen the frontiers of these achievements and thus, the need to repose massive confidence in him and the parliamentary candidate, Seth Osei Akoto.

He indicated that the energy and enthusiasm encountered further affirm the widespread support for Dr Bawumia’s bold solutions to Ghana’s challenges.
